St Angle Convent

We traveled by car on incredibly curvy bumpy roads for over 6 hours to reach our first children’s home, St Angle Convent in Kannur Kerala.

St Angle Convent is in a remote village in Kannur which is over 300 miles from the Kozhikode (Calicut) Airport. St Angle Convent is also known as Divasevanasabha. We recently placed our first child from this loving orphanage. In fact the evening we arrived at St Angle Convent our family called to let us know they were thankful and exceptionally happy with their adoption process. They were returning to the US that night with their beautiful daughter who had spent her first 15 months at St. Angle Convent. This is what it is all about, uniting children in loving families! My heart was touched once again! Dear families, hang in there it will happen for you also.

Sisters from St Angle Convent

Once we finally arrived we were greeted by Sister Snehalata’s warm friendly smile. She introduced us to several other Sisters who also welcomed us with open arms. Unfortunately, we had reached too late to see the children. I was especially disappointed, but we were able to arrange to return to see the children and the nursery.

  1. Thank you for your encouragement to those of us who are still waiting and sometimes feel very discouraged. It is good to hear about the happy endings/happy new-family beginnings, and it is wonderful to see how loved these children are by so many.
